Bill loved television. His first love, Radio, welcomed him with open arms and paid him well, requiring only that he get out of bed early, but the tradeoff was no makeup, no uncomfortable clothing (his true bain) and the ability to work without HAVING to run a comb through his once luxurious, and then later sparse hair. Bill took it all in stride.

To say that he will be missed is a ridiculous understatement. He’s already missed. The radio station he spent 20 years hosting a Morning Show on did a tribute to Bill on Friday, June 4th. Below, you’ll find links to the audio.

I miss my friend, Bill W. (Austin wasn’t his real name). I always thought that we’d spend our later years on a bench in Vancouver, laughing, arguing and occasionally sniping each other about the young lady that we both dated in the early 80s, that he stole from me (or I stole from him – honestly, I forget which it was, but neither of us ended up with her).
